Publication about the Monitoring Results
A manual “Monitoring of the Court Hearings of the Justices of Peace and Conducting Interviews with the Litigants: Methodology, Sociological and Performance Control Tools, and Procedures” has been published. This publication covers in detail a methodology and sociological tools (as guidelines for the interviews with plaintiffs and defendants, legal representatives, and observation check-list), key points in preparation for the monitoring, principles of the work of the court observers, criteria and procedures for observers’ selection and training.
Since it is crucial for ensuring a fair treatment that the poor are informed about their rights when submitting a claim to the court and that a treatment that they get is adjusted to their needs, two publications will be elaborated in the course of the Project: a book for litigants “How to Defend Rights when Your Case is Considered by the Justice of Peace”, and a book for the judges “Ensuring Fairness and Accessibility of Justice when Considering Civil Cases with Poor Litigants by the Justices of Peace”.
